Excavate: Uncovering your talents and skills is a practical place to start discerning vocation. Throughout this website, you will find resources that can help you start to identify and name your talents and skills.
Experience: Get your talents and skills into action. Internships, service in the community, Justice Journeys, exploration seminars and student organization involvement are just a few ways to further develop your capacities.
Examine: Reflect on your experience. What did it reveal about you, the world around you and how you listen to the world’s needs? What was energizing? What was worthwhile and meaningful beyond you?
Evaluate: Talk with those who know you well to imagine and evaluate ways in which you can tend to your vocations through study, work, civic engagement—all the ways in which you relate to the world and those around you. You’ll find great conversation partners within the Concordia community!
Exercise: Vocation takes community, courage, patience and repetition. Like muscles, your talents and skills need to be exercised. Reflection takes practice. You can sharpen your ability to listen to needs of the world around you.
